Terrorism in all forms must be condemned!

On the Easter Day of 2019, one of the holiest days of the Christian religion, several bombs exploded in churches and hotels across Sri Lanka killing close to 300 and injuring hundreds.

The Union for Secular Republic and Human Rights in Iran condemns this viscous attack and sends its condolences to the families of those who were killed and hope the people of Sri Lanka, who was forced to lock down and shocking deadly Easter, will be relived soon.

A local group affiliating themselves to the ISIS has claimed responsibility calling it in retaliation of Muslim killings in New Zealand hoping to promote promote a new crusade war between different religions.  We hope the people of Sri Lanka are vigilant not to allow their wishes come true.

The people of Iran have been suffering from fanaticism and feels the pain bestowed on them by this fringe group.

Our actions or inaction have unwanted consequences. It is the responsibility of every one of us to refrain from steps that help fuel hatred. And it is our responsibility to make sure our leaders are kept to the same standard.  International community must unequivocally condemn any form of hatred and terrorism and find a solution to stop it.
