With greetings and respect,
Today, after several days of strikes and steadfastness in pursuing your rightful demands, you stand at the forefront of the broader demands of the majority of Iran’s hard-working people — including nurses, retirees, workers, university professors, teachers, tradespeople, small-scale industrialists, and, in short, all the people of Iran — with the exception of the looters and suppressors who dominate the ruling regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The regime’s destructive domestic and foreign policies throughout its existence have led to the formation and survival of mafia-like, rent-seeking networks across all sectors of the national economy — including water, electricity, oil and gas condensates, gas, industry, imports, exports, the environment, car manufacturing, and even sports, arts, and education at the highest levels.
The inefficiency, deceit, and shameless lying of government officials, parliamentarians, and judiciary leaders — and above all, the Supreme Leader — have brought the country’s economy to the brink of collapse. All foundational industries have become obsolete. The regime is even incapable of providing the most basic daily necessities like water, electricity, and gas.
While the people’s livelihoods shrink day by day, social collapse is spreading like a devastating earthquake throughout every corner of society.
Corruption, suicide, addiction, migration, hopelessness, unemployment, divorce, and the deprivation of education for tens of thousands of children from poor families — especially the children of our Baluch, Kurdish, and Arab compatriots — are all on the rise.
Instead of addressing the people’s rightful demands for a normal, worry-free life, the regime responds with open hostility: repression, arrests, sowing division, and ultimately, empty promises and lies.
“Solidarity of Iranian Republicans” (HeJA) reaffirms the necessity of independent trade unions and labor associations and expresses its support for the truck drivers’ strike. We thank the leadership of the “National Union of Truck Drivers” for their conscious and responsible management of this major strike, which has been pursued with a professional approach.
We also call on all compatriots to support the strikers and the families of those who have been arrested.
We demand the immediate and unconditional release of all detainees.
